KATARINA’S SHAVE FOR A CURE

Recently I discovered a lump growing on my head. While I had been planning on participating in Shave for a Cure this year, I’ve had to bring forward my timeline to shave my hair before the lump is excised. (don't worry, it's nothing scary)

After three years of growing my hair, there is a LOT to shave off!! So I'm excited to announce that I'll be participating in Shave for a Cure, where I will not only shave my head but also donate my locks to make wigs for those in need.

I'm incredibly passionate about raising funds for this cause, and I'm eager to make a meaningful impact. To that end…I participated in a Shave for a Cure event in support of the Leukaemia Foundation! I'm totally blown away by the massive support and kindness from everyone who's donated raffle items for our Shave for a Cure event. Over 30 businesses contributed more than $1000 worth of prizes!

It's seriously heartwarming to see folks getting behind this cause, giving up their time, beautiful products, and whatever they can to make a real difference.

I'm so thankful to everyone who helped make this event at The Book Boutique Bundaberg such a success, especially Dannielle Marks and Karina Anderson and I feel truly honoured to be surrounded by such awesome people showing so much love and care.

Every penny raised will go directly to Shave for a Cure, aiding us in reaching our fundraising target.

We invite you to join us at The Book Boutique Bundaberg as we gather to support Katarina in her courageous act of shaving her locks for cancer research. Not only will she be bravely parting with her beautiful long hair, but she's also generously donating it to make wigs for cancer survivors.

The day will commence at 1pm with a series of activities including raffles, a sausage sizzle, and a cake sale. Then, at 2pm, the main event will unfold, with the talented ladies from The Place taking charge of the shave.

If you'd like to contribute to our raffle or cake sale, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Your support in any form is truly appreciated. Our raffle will feature three fabulous prizes - three baskets filled with an assortment of gifts and vouchers generously donated by various local businesses. Their support means the world to us.
